My Year in Photos!

I started off the year with Laser Eye Surgery on January 7th. I'd spent around 19 years of my life wearing glasses every waking moment and it was time to see what life glasses free was like. I'm a believer!

I was lucky enough to join a friend at the Juno Red Carpet Party before the Juno's on March 29th. It was cold but neat to see the celebrity's chatting it up with ETalk Canada.

In February I joined a Dragon Boat team and spent a lot of time here by Science World in False Creek. I gained some new friends, new muscles and some great experiences!

On March 27th I was lucky enough to win a trip for 2 to Barcelona, Spain to see U2 on the opening night of their new tour, courtesy of Virgin Radio and Transat.

In May I prepared for my first trip ever/Mandy and Dave's wedding by getting a pedicure with Mandy and her girls. Obviously I'm the one in blue! ; )

A pic of the lovely couple while they are getting hitched!

A pic of me on their wedding day, May 25th. What a place to get married!

On June 26th, three weeks after returning from Maui, I was off to Spain! Here I am at the top of mountain that has amusement park rides at the top, some of which have been around since the early 1900s. Pretty cool!

Here is a pic of the U2 tickets and the contest tracking sheet I used to help me win. I really did earn this!

In July I flew back to Ontario to surprise my Auntie Bea on her 80th birthday. I was born the day after her birthday and we've always been close. This is a picture of her in her younger days. She was a looker from the start!

At the end of July I was lucky enough to watch fireworks from a boat in English Bay. We cruised around Vancouver, had some dinner on board then parked for the fireworks.

The September long weekend was quite busy with Paddle for Kids, a fundraiser for the BC Children's Hospital (thanks so very much to those that sponsored me!!) and then a quick trip to Vegas. Yes I really do love livin' like a rock star! I spent about 33 hours in the city that never sleeps and got to meet up with a friend from college who I hadn't see in a very long time.

Cheap flights to Ontario are hard to resist and so in October I flew back for Mandy and Dave's Ontario reception. It was great to see the fam, even just for a few days. Marcia, Beth and I are posin' it up...and as Robert said "Charlie didn't know about THESE angels!'

2009 wasn't a great year for a lot of people, but for me it was a fantastic year. I plan to make 2010 just as exciting if not more. I have a few ideas up my sleeve so to speak but I'll save that for another post. Perhaps I have my blogging groove back?
